What We Fund

To be eligible for funding from the Facundo and Amalia Bacardi Foundation, projects must fall within one of our five key focus areas:

FOOD AND HOUSING

To support programs and groups, including individuals, insitutitions and communities, which advance the provision of food and housing for people who are economically disadvantaged or have special needs.

EDUCATION

To support programs that foster family and community involvement in local schools and that strengthen schools and educational programs through increased access to innovative curricula and teaching techniques.

MEDICAL RESEARCH AND HEALTH

To make grants, raise funds through venture philanthropy to advance medical research for the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of diseases and disabilities, along with help to facilitate access to medical care for those unable to afford it.

ENVIRONMENT

To support programs and groups, including inviduals, institutions and communities, which seek to peacefully protect the environment, and to promote environmentally sound use of land and natural resources, including the development of clean energy sources.

HISTORICAL PRESERVATION

To assist in the restoration and preservation of structures of historical significance to benefit present and future generations.
