Contributing to Strengthening the South Florida Community

The mission of the Facundo and Amalia Bacardi Foundation is to provide for the general well-being of citizens in need of the State of Florida.

At the Facundo and Amalia Bacardi Foundation, we understand the importance of expanding opportunities to the people of Florida to participate in a vibrant, successful and inclusive society.

We support programs which enhance quality of life, instill pride, and promote educational initiatives, health and human services, and a clean and safe environment—all important aspects of community development.

To help today's communities reshape tomorrow's society in a positive, productive way, we have framed our programming around five core elements which we believe lie at the heart of improving the well-being of the citizens of Florida: food and housing, education, medical research and health, environment and historical preservation.

Our Values

There are two simple values that lie at the core of the work supported by The Foundation:

  • All lives have equal value
  • Every man, woman and child has the right to a safe, healthy and fulfilling life.

Our Guiding Principles

The principles below reflect the impact that the Foundation wishes to have on Florida. In pursuit of our mission, the Foundation's principles guide what we do, why we do it and how we do it.

  • Our focus is clear and limited, and prioritizes assistance for the less fortunate members of society.
  • We believe in helping people help themselves through the practical application of knowledge and resources to improve their quality of life and that of future generations.
  • We advocate in our areas of focus; to responsibly and proactively seek out opportunities to provide benefit to the greatest need.
  • Delivering results with the resources we have been given is of the utmost importance.
  • Meeting our mission—to provide for the general well-being of less privileged citizens of the State of Florida—requires great stewardship of the funds that we have available.
  • We treat our donors as members of our family, and we treat the ultimate beneficiaries of our work with the utmost respect.
